City Kidz Ottawa
At the beginning of 2009 I entered children’s ministry. to help someone out. and found out I LOVED being a children's minister! Now, my children's ministry vision is e x p a n d i n g and I've connected with the founder of City Kidz, Todd Bender. City Kidz is an incredibly awesome children’s outreach ministry based in Hamilton, Ontario, that is impacting over 2,200 children and their families a week. Even more exciting, Todd's vision is taking on a national focus and he and I will be working together to open a branch of City Kidz here in Ottawa in the fall of 2010! So, stick around and come back from time to time as I write about the City Kidz Ottawa start up and vision. Maybe just maybe we'll both learn a little something as you walk with me on this journey and perhaps you may even want to jump in and help in some small way! I’ve noticed that Todd likes to end his emails with the words all for one, every last one, which really expresses his heart and the mandate of his ministry to reach and encourage even just one child. So, I think it only appropriate (because I’m going to be working in partnership with him) to end mine in response, in kind with the Three Musketeers: And One for all. Which is also, I believe, a very fitting name for this blog.
